Who we are
We're a small, friendly, clinically led team focused on shifting the consent and shared decision-making process in healthcare: iteratively evolving the norm to one that is transparent, empowering, personalised, and genuinely shared between clinician and patient. Be part of the growing operations team, playing a pivotal role in helping patients make better, more informed decisions about their health, with their clinicians, through the deployment of Concentric digital consent.
The role
We’re seeking an organised, people-loving individual to support deploying our award-winning digital consent application across the UK and beyond. Now embedded in over 35 healthcare organisations (with many more on the horizon), the time has come to expand our operations team. Working with our Clinical Operations Lead, you will form a core part of this small but essential team, ensuring the smooth running of the business.
This fast-paced role offers variety and brilliant opportunities for personal and professional development. As one of the key contacts for deploying organisations, you must be a confident communicator. You will participate in regular meetings and discussions with a diverse group of individuals, including project managers, technical leads, clinicians, and patients. Strong people skills and an ability to adapt communication styles for different audiences are essential to the role.
With multiple deployments running concurrently, each at varying stages, we’re looking for someone with a love of organisation and project management. You’ll be responsible for supporting the management of deployments from the point of contract signing to long-term digital consent optimisation, keeping everyone happy and on track. A fundamental part of deployments involves working closely with our in-house developers to support technical integration and ongoing management of Concentric into each healthcare organisation’s systems. While this is not a technical role, you must be comfortable using various digital applications (e.g. Google Workspace, Slack, and Notion), and ideally, you will have experience working on digital projects.
As is typical of start-up culture, we take an all-hands-on-deck approach, allowing you to get involved in activities outside of the everyday to expand your skill set. Activities include providing ad-hoc support to business development activities, marketing and communications, exhibiting at conferences, or paying visits to our customers across the UK.
Key responsibilities
- Project management - keeping everyone on track to support successful new deployments (and updates to existing ones)
- Account management - supporting a smooth and speedy transition to ‘business as usual’ and working collaboratively with customers to problem solve and optimise their usage of Concentric
- Being the master of our support desk, managing and escalating queries as needed
- Fielding feedback and insights from users to inform product and clinical content improvements
- Supporting senior management with ad-hoc requests, particularly in relation to business development
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records and documentation for each tenant (customer)
The ideal candidate will…
- Have 2+ years' of experience working on digital and/or healthcare projects or operations
- Thrive off human connection and building relationships
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a mature understanding of how to communicate effectively with different audiences, including patients
- Have experience working within the health or social care sector and an understanding of NHS operations and compliance requirements
- Be organised and comfortable managing a broad-ranging and shifting workload with a strong understanding and intuition for the appropriate prioritisation of incoming queries and requests
- Have a shared passion for improving healthcare service provision and supporting shared decision making for the benefit of patients and clinicians
- Love working in a small team in a role filled with variety, flexibility, and sometimes ambiguity that comes with being in a growing start-up
- Demonstrate alignment with our core values of quality, conviction, and openness
- Be UK-based and open to occasional travel across the UK to visit customers, represent Concentric at conferences, and attend other events as needed
Salary and benefits
- Salary: Typically £30k–£40k (dependent on experience) + EMI share options.
- Advertised as a full-time role, but applications preferring 80% FTE will be considered equally.
- We work remotely, with employees mostly in the UK. Office/co-working costs are covered, and we'll pay for any equipment you need to do your job. To get the balance of spending some work and social time co-located together, we hold 'team weeks' every few months, in a nice location (costs covered by the company).
- 25 days holiday per year plus bank holidays.
- We are committed to supporting our employees' personal development and will work with you to create a training and development plan aligned to the requirements for your role and the business.
