This is an exciting opportunity for a clinician to join our award-winning healthtech startup as the newest member of our small content team (currently two clinicians, Bowie and Brogan). As more clinicians across all specialties use Concentric each day, the volume of content feedback and requests we receive continues to grow. You'll help expand our clinical content (known as our Ontology) into new treatment areas, review and improve existing content, and support the operational processes behind it.
Your work will directly serve our clinician and patient users, shaping how almost two million patients a year understand and make decisions about their care, with that impact growing every month. We're looking for someone who cares about the details and is committed to quality in their work.
What's the ontology?
In simple terms, an ontology is a way of organising concepts and showing how they relate to each other.
At Concentric, our ontology is the clinical content that underpins the application. It's a library of 3,000 consent templates, built from a structured collection of thousands of evidence-based medical concepts – including procedure risks, indications, patient-friendly descriptions, and synonyms.
Rather than creating standalone documents, we define concepts once and cross-reference them across templates, often linking to clinical terminology standard like SNOMED-CT. This ensures consistency, allows us to scale content safely and efficiently, and supports complex functionality, including searching for treatments and combining templates.
The role
We’re looking for a proactive, methodical clinician to join our content team and help grow and refine the ontology. In this hands-on role, you’ll create, review and update consent templates, research unfamiliar and niche procedures, and translate complex medical information into clear, patient-friendly content that patients and clinicians can trust. Deployed regularly to leading healthcare organisations in the UK and abroad, your work will directly impact patient care and is a unique opportunity to apply your clinical expertise at scale.
You’ll collaborate with clinician users and the rest of the content team to ensure our content is accurate, consistent, and deployed safely within the Concentric application. All clinical content work follows a defined (but iterative) process in line with our PIF Tick certification, which you’ll help uphold.
As part of a fast-moving start-up, you’ll also have the opportunity to influence how Concentric Health develops, helping us explore new ways to manage content at scale, improve workflows and extract insights from real-world usage.
Bowie and Brogan have been our content duo since 2024, you can see their profiles at the bottom of this page. They'll support your onboarding process and will be the people you work most closely with day to day.

Who we're looking for
- A GMC-registered clinician with clinical experience equivalent to core surgical training, with a broad understanding across multiple specialties, and the confidence to work beyond your existing expertise.

- We are committed to supporting our employees' personal development and encourage CPD, for example in clinical safety and formal clinical writing.
How to apply
To apply please send a CV and cover letter or intro video by email to Bowie/Brogan (our content clinicians). Equally, if you’d prefer an informal chat first, we’d welcome that, please do just get in touch.
We will be reviewing applications as they come in so we’ll be in touch in a few days to let you know if we think we might be a match. The plan is then to do a content test, followed by a final interview if appropriate.
A polite note to say we won’t be engaging with recruiters or agencies for this role.
