The opportunity

Are you a final-year medical student with a passion for digital health, innovation and making a genuine impact in healthcare? If so, join us at Concentric Health for your medical elective and experience life inside a startup focused on improving the decision-making process in healthcare.

Concentric is the market-leading digital consent-to-treatment application. We’re a dedicated team – many of us doctors – who understand the challenges of getting involved in digital health. This elective offers hands-on experience and exposure to all areas of the business; from the clinical aspects of our application, to implementation and regulation. We aim to provide you with the necessary tools and knowledge to pursue a career in digital health.

You’ll spend 4 to 6 weeks with us, with the exact dates arranged around your university schedule and personal preferences.

What you’ll be doing

During your elective, you’ll be mentored by a member of our team, and gain exposure to multiple areas of the business:

  • Join team meetings to gain a broad understanding of the startup as a whole
  • Work alongside your mentor and contribute to their ongoing projects
  • Undertake a project that aligns with your interests and our mission to improve shared decision-making
  • Present your project to the Concentric team and, if appropriate, publish your findings, enhancing your CV in the process

Please note: We can only accept one student per academic year, with rare exceptions for two if dates happen to align. Depending on the volume of applications, we may carry out additional interviews to select the final candidate for the programme. Details will be communicated to the shortlisted applicants.
