Concentric is the market leading digital consent to treatment application. We are a small team, working hard on improving the decision making process in healthcare. Half of us are doctors by training, so we understand the challenges of getting involved in digital health.

In today's rapidly evolving healthcare landscape, digital technology is already playing a crucial role. With an elective at Concentric, you will immerse yourself in the world of digital health and our cutting-edge digital consent application.
You will gain hands-on experience in the use of technology to improve patient care and enhance the healthcare experience.
Broad exposure
At Concentric, you won't be confined to one specific area. Expect to join me - Patrick - and have the opportunity to explore every aspect of our startup; gaining insights into the clinical aspects of our application, contributing to the implementation of digital technology within a healthcare organisation, and diving into the complexities of healthcare regulation (amongst much more!).
This comprehensive exposure will provide you with a well-rounded understanding of the digital healthcare ecosystem.
Conduct a research project
Digital technologies need evidence to support their implementation; we recently presented Digital Consent: a review of two years of implementation & its impact on the perioperative workflow at the ASGBI Annual Congress.
As part of your elective, you'll have the chance to carry out an academic project that aligns with your interests, and our mission to improve shared decision making. This is your opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking research while honing your skills, and perhaps even gain a publication for your CV!
Flexibility to suit your needs
We understand that university requirements can vary; the elective can be flexible in duration, lasting between 4 to 6 weeks, starting at the time that suits you best, and ensuring it fits seamlessly with your other academic commitments.
Your elective is what you make of it; whether you aspire to be a healthcare entrepreneur, a medical innovator or just want to learn more about digital health, our program will provide you with the tools, knowledge, and experiences to shape your future in healthcare.
Applying for the elective
To apply, send an email to patrick@concentric.health with your CV and a 2-minute introductory video explaining why you're passionate about digital health, and why you'd be the perfect fit.
We have capacity to take a maximum of 2 students across the academic year (this may end up being 1 student, subject to timings). Depending on the number of applicants, we may carry out some follow-up informal interviews; details of this will be communicated as appropriate.
