Concentric can be deployed across the organisation as the default consent method. This page outlines our recommended approach.

Deployment timeframe

Following procurement, the aim is to support the organisation to be using digital consent by default within 4-6 months.

Phase 1 (6-8 weeks duration):
  • Technical - patient demographics and clinical documents integration
  • Information governance - Approval of DPIA and drafting of Data Processing Agreement
  • Clinical safety - DCB0129 and DCB0160 review and approval
  • Clinical - Engagement with clinical teams, including identification of clinical champions in each department
  • Weekly project team meeting
Phase 2 (6-8 weeks duration):
  • Deployment to approx 6 initial specialties / departments, including clinician and theatre staff training, with regular drop-in support sessions offered.
  • Technical - clinician authentication and patient portal integration (both optional)
  • Weekly project team meeting
Phase 3 (6-8 weeks duration):
  • Deployment to remaining specialties at 2 week intervals over 6-8 weeks.
  • Weekly project team meeting.
Phase 4 - Business as usual
  • Clinician support as required via clinical champions

Resource requirements

It is recommended that there is an internal project manager assigned to leading the introduction of digital consent. Our experience is that for a successful deployment this individual may need to allocate around half their time to the project during phases 1-3.

Resource requirements for integration is dependant on internal architecture, whether modern API’s can be used etc, so an accurate estimate is best reached through a brief conversation with our technical team. You can email hello@concentric.health to arrange a conversation.
